Coupons you thought will be handy, but we all never uses. The business cards that got pushed in your hand, just in case you need someone. The pictures of the kids, partner or loved ones. Well, to be honest, a digital wallet is exactly like your physical wallet. It has the opportunity to store all kinds of currencies, and you are able to store any other digital asset from the blockchain technology in it.
If you buy cryptocurrency or NFT, it is mostly done from an exchange. Even if it looks like it is yours, it still isn't completely.
It is like requesting cash from the bank, you know it is there, you know it is yours, but you don't have it. If the bank closes for the weekend, you have to wait until Monday before you can enter the bank again. If the bank got on fire over the weekend, you know that you can probably forget about your cash request.
The same applies to exchanges. It is in your account, but the exchange holds the power over your assets.
In order to protect your cryptocurrencies and NFT, we strongly suggest placing everything in your digital wallet, protecting you from losing your assets from failing exchanges.
So, a digital wallet is roughly the same as your physical wallet. It protects your belongings from other people, giving you the full right over your own belongings.
